This hazardous weather outlook is for central Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.


Weather hazards expected...

Elevated fog risk.
Limited lightning risk.

DISCUSSION...

Areas of fog through 9AM. Fog may be locally dense at times. Showers
and storms will return late this evening into tonight with no severe
weather expected.

Storm motion will be out of the west at 20 to 30 MPH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.


Periodic showers and storms expected Friday and Saturday with
additional thunderstorms next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...


White River at Elliston.

White River at Edwardsport.

White River at Newberry.

White River at Petersburg.

Wabash River at Lafayette.

Eel River at Bowling Green.

.Rainfall amounts of 2.5 to 3 plus inches across central Indiana has
led to rises on area waterways and flooding is expected to continue
to develop overnight into Friday morning and persist over the
weekend into next week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TONIGHT...


* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Eel River at Bowling Green.

* WHEN...Until late tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Lowland flooding is occurring along
portions of the river. Sonnefield Road at McIntyre Creek is
impassable. Water is on portions of Pioneer Road in the vicinity
of CR 50 N. This level threatens campers.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 14.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.7
feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late
this afternoon.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
