...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...Indiana...
Wabash River at Montezuma, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site,
and Riverton.
.Minor river flooding continues but is expected to come to an end on
the Wabash River by Friday evening. The crest is currently near
Riverton. Additional rainfall from multiple systems over the next
week could bring renewed minor river flooding to the Wabash.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TONIGHT...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma.
* WHEN...Until late tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Several hundred acres of bottomlands along
the right bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge of
Montezuma begin to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 14.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:45 AM EDT Thursday was 15.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late this afternoon and continue falling and remain below
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon, this evening and again
overnight. Severe storms are not expected. However, lightning is a
threat with any thunderstorm.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Thunderstorms are possible on Friday through Wednesday. Severe
weather looks unlikely with lightning and brief heavy downpours as the
primary threats. Repeated rounds of rainfall may allow river
flooding to redevelop in some areas.
