...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL SUNDAY EVENING...


* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River near Herculaneum.

* WHEN...Until Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 28.3 feet, Near this height, the walking trail
(extension of Station Road) at Bates Memorial Park begins flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 26.8 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 26.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 27.4
feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage
early Saturday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

There is a chance of thunderstorms at times Thursday through
Tuesday. An isolated strong to severe thunderstorm is possible
Thursday afternoon and evening in central and eastern Missouri and
west- central Illinois with damaging winds and marginally severe
hail.
