central Missouri as well as west central and southwest Illinois.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible through this afternoon in parts
of far southeast Missouri and southwest Illinois.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
There is a chance of thunderstorms over parts of the area Tuesday
night through Sunday.

...The National Weather Service in St Louis MO has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Missouri...Illinois...
Mississippi River at Winfield.
Mississippi River at Mel Price LD.
Mississippi River at Grafton.
Mississippi River near Herculaneum.
Mississippi River at Chester.
Mississippi River at St. Louis.
Mississippi River at Alton.
River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor
this developing situation and issue follow up statements as
conditions change.

* WHERE...Mississippi River near Herculaneum.
* WHEN...From late Tuesday night to Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 29.4 feet, Near this height, the Flux Building of the
Doe Run Company begins flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 14.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Wednesday morning to a crest of 30.0 feet early
Thursday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early
Saturday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
