This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of eastern and
central Missouri as well as west central and southwest Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.


There is a chance of thunderstorms late this evening and tonight
across portions of the area.

A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible late this evening
in central, northeastern Missouri and west-central Illinois with
damaging winds and marginally severe hail the main hazards.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.


There is a chance of thunderstorms at times Wednesday through Monday.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following points along the

Mississippi River...

Mississippi River at Saverton.

Mississippi River at Louisiana.

Mississippi River at Clarksville.

Mississippi River near Herculaneum.

Mississippi River at St. Louis.

Mississippi River at Hannibal.

Mississippi River at Winfield.

Mississippi River at Mel Price LD.

Mississippi River at Grafton.

Mississippi River at Chester.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor
this developing situation and issue follow up statements as
conditions change.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON TO MONDAY, MAY

06...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Mel Price LD.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon to Monday, May 06.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Highway 94 and the east end of Harbor
Point Road off of Highway 94 north of West Alton begin flooding
within a foot or so of this height. Also, the access road to the
Lincoln Shields area off Highway 67 just west of the Clark bridge
begins flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 16.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 25.4 feet early Thursday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday
morning.
- Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

Warning for the following rivers in Missouri...Illinois...

Mississippi River at Winfield.

Mississippi River at Mel Price LD.

Mississippi River at Grafton.

Mississippi River near Herculaneum.

Mississippi River at Chester.

Mississippi River at St. Louis.

Mississippi River at Alton.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING TO LATE SATURDAY

MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Alton.

* WHEN...From Wednesday evening to late Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 21.7 feet, At this level, Highway 94 and the east end
of Harbor Point Road off of Missouri Highway 94 north of West
Alton begin flooding. Also, the access road the Lincoln Shields
recreation area off of U.S. Highway 367 just west of the Clark
bridge begins flooding.
At 22.2 feet, Missouri Highway 94 between Portage Des Sioux and
West Alton begins flooding. Yachtview Drive begins flooding along
the entrance to Harbor Point Yacht Club.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 14.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late Wednesday evening to a crest of 22.0 feet Thursday
evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday
morning.
- Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
