...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...Indiana...
Wabash River at Riverton.
Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.
Wabash River at Montezuma.
.Recent rainfall has led to flooding along a few points of the
Wabash River. River flooding is expected to continue on the Wabash
River through Friday morning for Hutsonville and Riverton, but
Montezuma will likely fall below flood stage Thursday evening.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.
* WHEN...Until early Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Old Darwin Road and a few low rural roads
between York and Hutsonville, Illinois begin to flood.
Agricultural flooding begins along portions of the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- There is no current observed data.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.0
feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
early Friday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Riverton.
* WHEN...Until late Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Some agricultural lands underwater. A few
rural roads in Crawford County, Illinois close as water backs up
Minnow Slough. High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in
Palestine. A few private roads near the Gill Township levee in
Sullivan County may flood. Water level is at the top of most
makeshift levees.

- At 9:00 PM EDT Wednesday /8:00 PM CDT Wednesday/ the stage
was 15.6 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:00 PM EDT Wednesday /8:00 PM CDT Wednesday/ was
15.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.7
feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
late Friday morning.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois, east
central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Scattered thunderstorms are possible tonight. These are not expected
to be severe, but will contain dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning
and locally heavy rain.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Scattered thunderstorms are possible through Thursday afternoon
mainly north of I-72, then widespread thunderstorms are likely
Thursday night into Friday morning. Some of these storms may be
strong and contain hail and strong gusty winds. Additionally, these
storms will bring potential for locally heavy rainfall.
Occasional thunderstorms are possible over the weekend and early next
week. It is too early to determine the threat for severe weather with
these thunderstorms.
