This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois and west
central Illinois.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
The heat index will be near 100 degrees this afternoon, especially
across the Illinois River valley.
A few thunderstorms are possible west of the Illinois River by late
afternoon, but better chances of storms are expected tonight.
However, the storm chances closer to I-55 will be mainly be after
midnight. While the severe weather chances are low, a few of the
storms northwest of the Illinois River may contain strong wind gusts.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Thunderstorms will be more numerous on Sunday, and again mid to late
week. While the threat of organized severe weather is low, some of
the storms will be capable of producing heavy rain.
