This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois and west
central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


Scattered thunderstorms this evening may become severe with hail up
the size quarters and gusty winds up to 60 mph. Additionally, these
storms will bring potential for locally heavy rainfall. Scattered
thunderstorms will likely continue overnight, but are not expected to
remain severe.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.


Occasional thunderstorms are possible over the weekend and early
next week. The probability for severe weather is low over the
weekend, but it is too early to determine the threat for severe
weather next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed between 3pm - 9pm cst.

Expected storm motion is toward the east-northeast around 30 mph.

Illinois River at Peoria affecting Tazewell, Woodford and Peoria
Counties.

Illinois River at Beardstown affecting Brown, Schuyler, Cass and
Morgan Counties.

Illinois River near Havana affecting Fulton, Cass and Mason
Counties.

.The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil
moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons with interests along this river need to remain aware of the
latest forecasts and associated flood risk for their area. Stay
tuned for further updates on this flooding situation.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Illinois River at Peoria.

* WHEN...Until early Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Some flooding begins to bottomland not
protected by levees.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:45 PM CDT Thursday was 18.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.1
feet Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
Tuesday evening.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
