This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight


Isolated storms are possible from mid afternoon into the evening
hours. A few stronger wind gusts may occur with this activity, but
overall the severe threat will be low.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday


A few thunderstorms are possible Sunday afternoon with additional
chances possible at times next week. The severe weather threat
for individual time periods will continue to be assessed over the
next several days.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Des Moines River near Stratford affecting Hamilton, Boone and
Webster Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TOMORROW AFTERNOON...


* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The Des Moines River near Stratford, or from the Boone
River...to near the City of Boone.

* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water affects 157th St on the west side of
Fraser.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 18.5 feet and slowly
rising.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.0
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage tomorrow morning.
- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
