This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight
Scattered thunderstorms will move across the area this morning,
clearing to the east by this afternoon. A few storms could produce
small hail or gusty winds, mainly over southern Iowa, but overall
the severe weather threat is low.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday
Thunderstorms are likely between late Monday afternoon and Tuesday
morning. Severe weather may be possible during this time, but this
threat will be better assessed over the next couple of days.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not needed at this time. However, rainfall
reports are always appreciated.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO TUESDAY EVENING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...The Des Moines River at Fort Dodge, or from the municipal
power dam...to Lehigh.
* WHEN...From late tonight to Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, water affects roads to residences in Fort
Dodge along the river and limits access to some subdivisions. At
11.0 feet, water affects lowland areas near the river and
threatens residences along the river in Fort Dodge.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 9.7 feet and rising.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight to a crest of 10.9 feet tomorrow
evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 10.5 feet.
