This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northwest Iowa,
west central Iowa, northeast Nebraska, central South Dakota, east
central South Dakota, and southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Tonight


Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday


Wind gusts up to 45 mph may be possible at times through Monday
afternoon.

Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms may form by early
afternoon. This activity is not expected to be severe.

A second line of stronger thunderstorms may form over south
central South Dakota and northern Nebraska by 3pm and begin to
track northeast. This activity may reach the James River valley
around 5-6 pm and the Interstate 29 corridor by 7pm. While the
greatest risk for severe storms may remain south of the Missouri
River and Highway 20 in western Iowa, isolated storms may produce
wind gusts to 60 mph and some marginally severe quarter size hail
as they move northeast early in the evening. Additionally,
localized rainfall totals of 1" may lead to minor ponding of
water.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will again be possible
Wednesday. Some of these storms may contain small hail, along with
a potential for weak funnels.

Spotter activation may be needed from 3pm to 8pm.
