Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...


* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Little Sioux River at Spencer.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, the right bank overflows, and minor
flooding of the Spencer city park and some rural agricultural
areas begins.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 10.2 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:00 AM CDT Friday was 10.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tonight and continue falling.
- Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, central South
Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central South Dakota and
southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


Scattered showers and storms will wane across parts of southwest
Minnesota and northwest Iowa this evening. Small hail and gusts up to
50 mph are possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.


A more active pattern will set up Sunday through Tuesday of next
week. While much uncertainty remains regarding exact timing and
location, there will be the possibility of a few strong to severe
storms, as well as areas of heavy rainfall during this time frame.
