This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northwest Iowa,
west central Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska,
central South Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central
South Dakota, and southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Tonight


Gusty north to northwest winds will continue through the evening
hours. Occasional gusts to 50 mph will be possible, especially
east of Interstate 29.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday


Showers and thunderstorms are expected Thursday night with potential
for isolated severe thunderstorms.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed Thursday evening into Thursday
night.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Little Sioux River at Spencer.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to early Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, the right bank overflows, and minor
flooding of the Spencer city park and some rural agricultural
areas begins.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 10.3 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 4:00 PM CDT Tuesday was 10.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.1
feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage
early Friday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Thursday
