This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight
Isolated thunderstorms are forecast at times today and tonight,
especially north. However, severe weather and heavy rain are not
expected.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday
Scattered thunderstorms are forecast from Wednesday afternoon into
Wednesday night. A few storms could produce hail or gusty winds,
and even weak funnel clouds. However, the overall severe weather
threat is marginal.
Thunderstorms will also be possible Friday afternoon and evening,
however, severe weather is not anticipated during that time.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY FRIDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...The East Fork Des Moines River near Algona, or from
Buffalo Creek near Burt...to Lotts Creek near Livermore.
* WHEN...Until early Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, Water affects the lowest portions of
Northpark Dr and Norwood Dr in Algona.
At 17.0 feet, US 169 south of Algona is threatened and some rural
roads flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 16.6 feet and falling.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.6
feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
Thursday evening.
- Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
