...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ THIS

EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Florida, including the following areas,
Calhoun, Coastal Bay, Coastal Franklin, Coastal Gulf, Coastal
Jefferson, Coastal Wakulla, Gadsden, Inland Bay, Inland Franklin,
Inland Gulf, Inland Jefferson, Inland Wakulla, Leon and Liberty
and Georgia, including the following areas, Ben Hill, Berrien,
Brooks, Colquitt, Cook, Grady, Irwin, Mitchell, Thomas, Tift,
Turner and Worth.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded. Area creeks and streams are running high
and could flood with more heavy rain.

Withlacoochee River near Quitman (US 84) affecting Lowndes and
Brooks Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.

* IMPACTS...At 106.0 feet, In Lowndes County, the boat ramp at the
Clyattville Nankin road is flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 104.8 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:00 AM EDT Saturday was 104.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 105.4 feet
tomorrow morning. It will then rise to 106.1 feet Thursday
morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
- Flood stage is 104.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
106.1 feet on 03/05/1939.
