THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.


.DENSE FOG/SMOKE IMPACT...
Patchy, locally dense fog is occurring this morning across
southern portions of Brevard County, in addition to Indian River
and Saint Lucie counties. Motorists should exercise caution if
encountering fog while driving this morning and plan for
additional commute times.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Isolated lightning storms, primarily this afternoon into the early
evening, will be capable of occasional lightning strikes, gusty
winds, and brief heavy rainfall.

.EXCESSIVE HEAT IMPACT...
Heat indices this afternoon are forecast to reach the upper 90s to
low 100s. Practice heat safety if outdoors by taking breaks in
air-conditioned spaces and staying hydrated.

.MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT...
Isolated lightning storms this afternoon and evening will be
capable of producing wind gusts around 34 knots of greater, while
gradually pushing offshore.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

Near record high temperatures are forecast for Saturday with heat
indices reaching well into the 100s. An increased risk for heat-
related illness exists on Saturday as a result. Practice heat
safety if planning to be outdoors by taking frequent breaks in
air-conditioned spaces and staying hydrated.

Coverage of lightning storms will increase on Saturday and Sunday,
ahead of an approaching cold front. A few storms could become
strong to marginally severe, especially on Sunday.

...Patchy Fog This Morning, Locally Dense at Times...

Surface observations, along with satellite imagery and local
traffic cameras, indicate fog development across portions of
Brevard, Indian River, and Saint Lucie counties this morning.
Visibility of one mile or less at times may occur through sunrise,
especially from Melbourne southward.

Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution if encountering fog
this morning. Slow down, increase following distance, and use
low-beam headlights when driving through patchy, locally dense
fog. Plan ahead for extra travel time to destinations.

Visibility is forecast to improve by mid morning as fog
dissipates.
