This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
A snow band is expected to develop over parts of the region prior
to sunrise tomorrow morning. This band will likely extend north
of a line from near Leadville, east-southeastward to the Pikes
Peak region and then across the greater Kiowa county region. Light
accumulations are expected. Snow is likely be falling over the
I-25 corridor region north of Colorado Springs prior to sunrise.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday
Light snow is expected to occuring Monday morning generally north
of a line from Buena Vista to Colorado Springs to La Junta to Two
Buttes. Accumulations up to an inch could occur, especially over
northern El Paso county and the Kiowa County region. The snow
should end prior to noontime.
The weather is expected to become unsettled over the region from
Friday into next weekend. Snow will be possible in the mountains
during this time period. In addition, although it is too early to
tell for certain, there is the possibility of arctic air pushing
into all, or parts of, the plains during the Friday through Sunday
time period.
