This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Rounds of rain and higher elevation snow showers will continue
this afternoon into tonight across southern Colorado. Isolated
embedded thunderstorms will be possible particularly this
afternoon across southern areas. The main risk with thunderstorms
will be lightning and small hail up to 1/2 inch in diameter.
Thunder along with locally heavy snow bursts will be possible
across the higher elevations this afternoon, with the potential
for snow levels to drop to around 9000 feet under the more intense
precipitation. Local accumulations of 3 to 6 inches will be
possible across the higher peaks above 10000 feet, with up to 3
inches possible across the mountain passes at times where roads
could get briefly slushy at times. Showers and thunderstorms will
diminish from west to east this evening through the overnight
hours.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Showers will increase in coverage during the day Sunday, with snow
expected along the mountains, and rain shower and thunderstorms
expected elsewhere. A strong storm or two can`t be ruled out across
the eastern plains Sunday afternoon, with strong winds up to around
50 mph and small hail possible.

Unsettled weather prevails through much of the new upcoming week.
Snow showers are again expected for the mountains, with rain shower
and thunderstorms still expected elsewhere. The greatest chance for
heavier and more widespread precipitation will be Wednesday through
Friday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be likely over portions of the region.
