This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

There is a medium chance for isolated thunderstorms, a few severe,
across the eastern plains this afternoon. Highest chances are from
around noon through 3 PM, along and east of a Kim to Lamar line. The
strongest storm will be capable of producing hail to the size of
half dollars and wind gusts up to 60 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

A few storms will develop during the afternoon on Monday, mainly
north of Highway 50, with the highest probability being over the
Palmer Divide. Critical fire weather conditions will be possible
for the lower elevations of the Sangres, below 7500 feet, as well
as within the Wet Mountain Valley on Monday from afternoon
through early evening, and then for portions of these areas again
on Wednesday through Saturday during the afternoon and early
evening hours. There will be an uptick in thunderstorm activity
on Tuesday with some high elevation snow, followed by an overall
drier pattern for southeast Colorado from Wednesday through
Saturday. Only light accumulations are anticipated across the
highest elevations, with perhaps a few inches for the northern
Sawatch Range through the mid part of the week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
