This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop over the mountains
around midday and move into the adjacent valleys and plains during
the afternoon and early hours. The main risk with any thunderstorm
will be lightning, spotty moderate rain, and high elevation snow
showers. A few strong to severe storms capable of producing wind
gusts up to 60 mph are possible. The risk of large hail is low but
can`t rule out an isolated storm capable of producing hail to the
size of quarters. At this time, highest chances for this to occur
look to be along and east of an Arlington to Lamar line.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Showers will increase in coverage Wednesday afternoon. Snow is
expected along the mountains, with rain showers and thunderstorms
expected elsewhere. A few thunderstorms may be strong to severe,
particularly across the eastern plains. The main threats with any
stronger thunderstorms that develop tomorrow will be strong
winds, with gusts to around 60 mph, hail up to 1 inch in
diameter, and excessive rainfall with localized flash flooding
possible.

Unsettled weather continues into Thursday. More showers and
thunderstorms are expected for the region, especially across the
southeast mountains. Greatest hazards with any more organized
thunderstorms will be gusty winds and lightning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
