This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


Light to moderate snow showers are expected over the high country
today, mainly above 7,000ft. Though accumulations will begin to
taper through the morning hours, rain and snow showers could
continue throughout the day today. Travel could be difficult at
times, especially through mountain passes early this morning.

A few thunderstorms will be possible today as well. The main threat
with any storms that develop today will be occasional cloud to
ground lightning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday


Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms with higher
elevation snow will impact southern Colorado Saturday and Sunday.
Several inches of additional snow will be possible across the
higher elevations above 9000 feet, especially on Saturday.
One or two stronger thunderstorms will be possible which could
produce some small hail under 1/2 inch in diameter.

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible
through early next week with another uptick possible on Wednesday
as another storm system approaches the region.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the evening commute.
