This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


Showers and thunderstorms will develop over the mountains this
afternoon. The main threats from the storms will be lightning and
wind gusts to 40 mph, though a few storms could also produce
brief heavy rain and small hail. It will remain hot on the plains
with highs in the mid 90s. There is a slight chance of
thunderstorms with gusty winds in the I-25 corridor this evening.

Thunderstorms will diminish in the mountains overnight, but there
will be a slight chance of storms on the plains again after
midnight. Some of these storms could produce wind gusts to 40 mph,
locally heavy rain, and small hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday


For the Fourth of July, there is a chance of thunderstorms in the
northeast corner of the state in the morning. Scattered storms
are expected across the area in the afternoon. The chance of
storms will decrease across most of the area in the evening,
though storms may linger over the eastern plains. The threat of
severe weather is low. For this weekend into early next week,
there will continue to be a chance of afternoon and evening
thunderstorms each day.
