...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTH PARK AND THE MOUNTAINS AND

FOOTHILLS ALONG AND SOUTH OF I-70 THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING...

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


Snow showers will increase over the mountains and foothills this
afternoon, and continue through tonight. The heaviest snow will
be along and south of I-70 in the mountains and foothills, and
across portions of South Park, where several inches of wet snow
will be possible especially tonight. Elsewhere there will be
scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, with the greatest
concentration of showers in and near the foothills and Palmer
Divide.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday


Snow showers are likely in the mountains and foothills on Friday
along with a few thunderstorms. There could be slick road
conditions on Friday in the mountains, especially in the morning.
The plains will see scattered rain showers and a few thunderstorms
on Friday.

From Saturday into mid next week, scattered late day showers and
thunderstorms are forecast, along with a slow warming trend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight. However,
any snowfall reports from the high country will be appreciated.
