This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


Widespread windy conditions will produce wind gusts up to 50-60 mph
across the plains and valleys today. Additionally, winds will
produce wind gusts up to 75 mph for parts of the mountains and
foothills. Snow continues for areas north of I-70 above 9 thousand
feet; if traveling along mountain passes, prepare for low
visibilities due to blowing snow.

The dry and windy conditions will create critical fire weather
conditions and areas of blowing dust for southern Lincoln County.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday


Snow and blowing snow will occur across the mountains through
Tuesday, and then gradually diminish Tuesday evening. Slick road
conditions will be possible especially over the higher mountain
passes during the night-time and early morning hours.

It will be windy across the entire area as well on Tuesday. The
dry and windy conditions will lead to critical fire conditions
across southern Lincoln County Tuesday afternoon and evening.

More tranquil weather can be expected Wednesday through next
weekend, with only scattered showers possible and much less wind.

gusts up to 75 mph. For the Freeze Watch, sub-freezing
temperatures as low as 30 possible.

* WHERE...Fort Collins, and Boulder and the western suburbs of
Denver.

* WHEN...For the High Wind Warning, until midnight MDT tonight. For

the Freeze Watch, from late Tuesday night through early Wednesday
morning.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down tree limbs. Brief power
outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for
high profile vehicles.
Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive
vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. Drain above
