This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Hot...dry and very windy conditions will continue today. Widespread
critical fire weather conditions along with gusts of 40 to 55 will
occur this afternoon.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Critical fire weather conditions over eastern Utah and western
Colorado continue through Sunday...possibly beyond. Relief from the
hot and windy conditions will not arrive until early this coming week
when thunderstorm development will be possible as subtropical
moisture arrives from the South Tuesday and Wednesday, with a better
chance of gusty winds and lightning rather than wetting rain.

Red Flag Warning.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 203 Lower
Colorado River below 8000 feet.
* TIMING...From noon to 9 PM MDT Sunday.
* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...9 to 14 percent.
* IMPACTS...Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise
extreme caution with any outdoor burning.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
