This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected today. While the
threat for severe weather is fairly low, isolated damaging winds
will be possible with the strongest of storms. Marginally severe
hail will also be possible with the strongest of storms. Overall,
severe weather should be very isolated.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday


Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast,
especially during the weekend. Precipitation chances will decrease
heading into next week, or until a new cold front pushes through the
region from the northwest on Thursday. In the coming days, isolated
strong to severe storms may occur, along with locally heavy
downpours and spotty flash flooding.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON TO LATE

SUNDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Arkansas River at Ozark Lock and Dam.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon to late Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 357.0 feet, flooding affects agricultural use lands
along the river downstream of the lock and dam in Franklin County.
Gas fields are also subject to flooding downstream. Equipment and
livestock should be moved to higher ground. North 5th Street in
Logan County near the Six Mile Levee begins to flood and may cut
off access to a nearby residence.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 355.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 357.4 feet Sunday morning.
It will then fall below flood stage Sunday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 357.0 feet.
