This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight


Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible
through this evening across portions of southern and western
Arkansas. A few storms could produce heavy downpours, gusty winds
and some small hail.

Around midnight a line of strong to severe thunderstorms is
expected to move into portions of west and northwest Arkansas.
These storms will move east through sunrise and will be capable of
producing damaging winds gusts, hail, heavy downpours and perhaps
a couple of tornadoes. This activity is expected to weaken as it
moves east.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday


Chances for severe weather will increase Wednesday into Wednesday
night with all modes of severe weather possible, including very
large hail and isolated tornadoes. Locally heavy downpours may
lead to spotty flash flooding.

Hit and miss showers and storms will linger on Thursday before
cooler, drier, and more seasonal air returns Friday into the
weekend.

...The National Weather Service in Little Rock AR has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Arkansas...

White River At Augusta affecting White and Woodruff Counties.

For the Lower White River...including Newport, Augusta, Georgetown,
Des Arc, Clarendon...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

River forecasts are based on current conditions and rainfall
forecasted to occur over the next 24 hours. During periods of
flooding...Evening forecasts are reissued with updated rainfall
forecasts.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon to Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Farm ground along the river in White and
Woodruff counties begin to flood. Seasonal agricultural impacts.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 25.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Tuesday afternoon and to a crest of 26.5 feet early
Wednesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
early Friday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
