Missouri...

Mississippi River at Caruthersville

For the Lower Mississippi River...including Tiptonville,
Caruthersville, Osceola, Memphis, Tunica Mhoon Landing, Helena...
elevated river levels are forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON TO SUNDAY EVENING...


* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Caruthersville.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 31.0 feet, In Missouri, road and field flooding is
widespread at Cottonwood Point. Access roads off Arkansas Road 362
are flooding. In Tennessee, the grain shipping facility south of
Heloise is mostly underwater. Dee Webb Road, Watkins Road, and
Brady Ridge Road are flooding. Barr Road north of the Wardlows
Pocket Area is beginning to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 31.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 31.5
feet tomorrow morning.
- Action stage is 29.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 32.0 feet.

If you are in the advisory area, remain alert to possible flooding
or the possibility of the advisory being upgraded to a warning.

...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MONDAY, MAY 20...


* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Osceola.

* WHEN...Until Monday, May 20.

* IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, In Arkansas, high water interferes with
grain barge loading at the terminal at Osceola. Backwater is
touching most of the levee just north of Osceola on north past
Mississippi County Arkansas Road 330 in the Barfield Point
vicinity. Mississippi County Arkansas Road 430 is flooded across
from Tellier Island. In Tennessee, Crutcher Lake Road is flooded
north of Cold Creek. The Mississippi River is over its banks
northeast of Open Lake. Backwater has reached Bee Lake.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 25.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.9
feet early Wednesday morning.
- Action stage is 24.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 28.0 feet.
