This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.



Numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected today and
tonight, however the threat for severe weather appears very low at
this time.



Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast,
especially Friday through the weekend. Isolated strong to severe
storms may occur, along with locally heavy downpours and spotty
flash flooding. Precipitation chances will decrease heading into
next week.

For the Black River...including Corning, Pocahontas, Black Rock...
Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

River forecasts are based on current conditions and rainfall
forecasted to occur over the next 24 hours. During periods of
flooding...Evening forecasts are reissued with updated rainfall
forecasts.

* WHERE...Black River at Black Rock.

* WHEN...From late Friday night to early Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Farm ground along
east bank begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 11.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage tomorrow
afternoon to 15.0 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall
below flood stage to 13.3 feet tomorrow evening. It will rise
above flood stage again early Saturday morning to 15.0 feet
Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage again
Monday evening.
