DISCUSSION...
Widespread showers and thunderstorms will continue spread over the
area today. A few storms may briefly pulse to severe limits today
across southeast Oklahoma and west central Arkansas where the
instability is slightly more favorable. Locally heavy rainfall
with the stronger storms will increase the threat for both flash
flooding and main stem river flooding across the entire area.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
The active weather pattern will continue this week with chances
for storms through Wednesday night. The higher severe weather
chances will come Monday with storms that develop to the west
along a dryline, and again Wednesday along a cold front. For
Monday, all modes of severe, including tornadoes will be possible
along with the potential for some significant severe weather late
Monday afternoon and into Monday night.

Storms that develop along a cold front Wednesday will also have
severe potential Wednesday afternoon and evening. Storm chances
are expected to diminish later in the work week as drier and
cooler air filters in behind the departing cold front.

possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Arkansas, including the following counties,
Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Madison, Sebastian and
Washington AR and Oklahoma, including the following counties,
Adair, Cherokee, Choctaw, Craig, Creek, Delaware, Haskell,
Latimer, Le Flore, Mayes, McIntosh, Muskogee, Nowata, Okfuskee,
Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pawnee, Pittsburg, Pushmataha, Rogers,
Sequoyah, Tulsa, Wagoner and Washington OK.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Widespread heavy rainfall over the last week has led to very
saturated ground, excessive runoff, and rising rivers and
streams across the area. Locally heavy moderate to heavy
rainfall potential will exist with widespread showers and
storms that occur across the area today. Additional rainfall
totals of 1 to 3 inches will be possible, with locally higher
amounts leading to both flash flooding and mainstem river
flooding concerns.
