Warning for the following rivers in Florida...Alabama...

Blackwater River Near Baker affecting Santa Rosa, Escambia,
Covington and Okaloosa Counties.

For the Blackwater River...including Baker...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING TO EARLY MONDAY

MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Blackwater River near Baker.

* WHEN...From Saturday evening to early Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Kennedy and Peaden Bridges are flooded
upstream of Highway 4 bridge. At 11.0 feet, minor flooding of
secondary roads and lowlands from the Highway 4 Bridge downstream.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 3.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late Saturday evening and will continue rising to a crest of
11.6 feet Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
Monday morning.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, minor overflow of lowlands in the area. At
17.0 feet, considerable flooding of lowlands.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 12.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
Sunday evening and will continue rising to a crest of 17.4
feet Monday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
Tuesday evening.
- Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Alabama, including the following areas,
Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Butler, Choctaw,
Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia, Mobile Central,
Mobile Coastal, Mobile Inland, Monroe, Washington and Wilcox,
northwest Florida, including the following areas, Escambia
Coastal, Escambia Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland, Santa
Rosa Coastal and Santa Rosa Inland, and southeast Mississippi,
including the following areas, George, Greene, Perry, Stone and
Wayne.

* WHEN...Through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are expected to pass across
the area through early Saturday afternoon. Widespread
rainfall totals of 2 to 5 inches are expected, with localized
totals above 6 inches possible. These totals, in addition to
wet antecedent conditions from previous rainfall could result
in flooding.
