...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL SEWARD AND CENTRAL
HASKELL COUNTIES THROUGH 545 PM CDT...

At 517 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported strong thunderstorms
producing a landspout along a line extending from 10 miles north of
Tice to near Satanta. Movement was east at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Landspouts and wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
objects.

Sublette and Satanta around 525 PM CDT.

At 506 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles southeast of
Plymell, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Kansas, including the following
counties, Clark, Haskell and Meade.

* WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Low-water crossings may be flooded.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Kansas,
south central Kansas, southwest Kansas, and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


Severe weather and flash flood risk later this afternoon and
tonight for much of southwest Kansas. Best chance of both will be
located roughly along and north of the highway 54 corridor. Severe
weather risk will have storms with hail up to 2 inches in diameter
and wind gusts 60 mph or greater. Tornado threat is low however
an isolated landspout around the cold front can`t be ruled out.
Tonight flash flood risk increases as the storms will likely train
over the same areas and we could see rainfall amounts as high as 3
inches.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday


Storms and flooding risk continue into Wednesday.

Spotter activation may be needed after 3 PM today.
