* WHAT...For the first Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 115.

For the second Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 113 expected.

* WHERE...Inland Cameron, Inland Kenedy, and Inland Willacy Counties.

* WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, until 7 PM CDT this evening.

For the second Heat Advisory, from 1 PM to 7 PM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives, neighbors, workers, and the
elderly.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit exercise and strenuous activities to
early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke. Heat related illnesses increase
significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Death is
possible to unprepared people and pets.
