Angelina River Near Lufkin affecting Angelina, Nacogdoches and
Cherokee Counties.

For the Angelina River...including Alto, Lufkin...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHERE...Neches River near Alto.

* WHEN...Until early Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Boat ramps and picnic areas near the river
will begin to flood. Ranchers should move cattle and equipment
near the river to higher ground.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 16.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 1:15 PM CDT Friday was 16.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Sunday afternoon and continue falling to 15.6 feet
early Wednesday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

...TORNADO WATCH 139 IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT THIS EVENING...


This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southeast Oklahoma and
northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.


Severe weather chances will return to the region today and continue
into the weekend. All modes of severe weather will be possible,
along with a threat for flash flooding resulting from training heavy
rainfall in a few locations.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.


Severe weather chances will linger through the weekend. The greatest
chance for widespread severe weather will be Sunday, with all modes
of severe weather being possible. Additionally, 3-5 inches of
rainfall will be possible through the middle of the new workweek,
which could result in additional flooding and flash flooding given
recent rainfall.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
