This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

An Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect across most of North and
Central Texas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Excessive heat will continue through Monday, creating dangerous
conditions for anyone spending time outdoors. Proper precautions
should be taken to prevent heat-related illnesses.

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms Monday night through
Tuesday night, mainly south of the Interstate 20 corridor. If storms
do develop, they will be capable of producing very gusty downburst
winds.

...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM SUNDAY TO 7 PM CDT MONDAY...


The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Heat
Advisory, which is in effect from 7 PM Sunday to 7 PM CDT Monday.

* TEMPERATURES...High temperatures ranging from 105 to 110 are
expected this Sunday afternoon, then 102 to 104 degrees Monday
afternoon.

* HEAT INDICES...Heat index values may reach 110 degrees Sunday
afternoon, then 105 Monday afternoon.

* Impacts...Very hot conditions will increase the risk of heat
related illnesses.

An Excessive Heat Warning means that a prolonged period of
extremely hot conditions will occur. This is a dangerous
situation in which heat illnesses are likely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be sure to check on persons with health problems and the elderly,
as they are the most susceptible to heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Never leave young children or pets in an enclosed
vehicle, even for a short time, as temperatures can quickly rise
to life threatening levels.

To reduce risk during outdoor work the occupational safety and
health administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke
is an emergency - call 911.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued
an Ozone Action Day for the Dallas-Fort Worth area for Sunday,
July 22, 2018.

Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing
high levels of ozone air pollution in the Dallas-Fort Worth area
on Sunday. You can help prevent ozone pollution by sharing a
ride, walking, riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work,
avoiding drive-through lanes, conserving energy, and keeping your
vehicle properly tuned.
