Dakota, west central and northwest Minnesota.

Light snow is expected late tonight through Tuesday morning, with
accumulations up to 1 inch possible.

Widespread riverine flooding continues along the Red River and
its tributaries due to excessive fall precipitation. Refer to the

specific locations.

.Rivers continue to rise from recent record rainfall, as well as
snowmelt from the recent winter storm. With the above freezing
temperatures forecast, snowmelt will continue to add water into the
river system this week. Flooding will continue along the mainstem Red
River and its tributaries throughout the next week.


This forecast is for a 7-day period...the highest stage
indicated may not reflect the crest for this event.

Forecasts are updated daily and stage values will change
as new weather and river information is used.

River forecasts use 24 hours of forecast precipitation
between April 1st and October 1st, and 48 hours otherwise.
However, depending on the situation, they may include
precipitation expected through the next 72 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...turn around, don`t drown...

- Don`t travel through flooded areas!

- Persons in the warned area need to take steps to protect life
and property. If necessary, move to a higher and safer location.

- Persons living in the Red River Basin should monitor river
levels while the river is in, or near, flood.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and during the next 7 days...Major
flooding is forecast.
* Major Flood Stage is 36.0 feet.
* Forecast...the river will rise to a crest near 36.5 feet sometime
Thursday mid-morning then begin falling.
* The river is forecast to crest at 36.5 on Thursday mid-morning
during this 7-day period.
* Impact Statement(s) - At 36.5 feet, ND State Highway 54 has water
over the road.
