This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk.
Limited flooding risk.
Significant lightning risk.
Significant fog risk.

DISCUSSION...

Patchy dense fog will occur into early Tuesday morning,
leading to locally reduced visibilities and hazardous driving
conditions. Visibilities approaching one-quarter mile or less
will be possible especially in low-lying areas and near rivers
and lakes. The fog is expected to dissipate by mid morning.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop over Kansas and move into
the area late this afternoon into tonight. The stronger storms
along and west of I-49 could produce wind gusts to 60 mph.
Slower moving storms may also be capable of producing locally
heavy rainfall leading to flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Thunderstorms...some possibly severe...will be possible again
on Wednesday. Large hail and wind gusts to 60 mph along with
potentially heavy downpours will be the primary threat. These
storms are most likely along and south of I-44.

Heat indicies on Friday may approach the 100 to 105 degree
range. Additional showers and storms will again return to the
area by next weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
