This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


Weather hazards expected...

Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk.
Elevated flooding risk.
Elevated lightning risk.

DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms will increase late tonight over
southeastern Kansas and west-central Missouri. Heavy rainfall
and localized flash flooding will be possible. A few storms
may also produce wind gusts to 50 mph.

Southerly non thunderstorm wind gusts over 30 mph will
continue through tonight across western Missouri and
southeastern Kansas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.


Showers and thunderstorms will persist into Sunday before
slowly ending from northwest to southeast Sunday afternoon
and Sunday night. Heavy rainfall and the risk for flash
flooding will continue, especially across southeastern
Kansas and west-central Missouri.

Southerly non thunderstorm wind gusts over 30 mph will
also continue into Sunday across southeastern Kansas and
western Missouri ahead of an approaching cold front.

Areas of fog are possible Sunday night and Monday morning,
especially near and north of the Interstate 44 corridor.

Chances for showers and thunderstorms will then return
from later Tuesday through much of next week.

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
