Isolated thunderstorms possible this evening. There is a Marginal
(1 of 5) risk of severe weather with hail and strong winds the
primary threats. Heat index values rising into the upper 80s to
mid 90s into early this evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.


Hotter with heat index values in the mid to upper 90s Friday.
Another round of strong storms will move through the Upper
Midwest Friday into Friday night.

South Fork Crow River below Mayer affecting Carver County.

Crow River at Rockford affecting Wright and Hennepin Counties.

Minnesota River at New Ulm affecting Nicollet, Brown and Blue
Earth Counties.

Minnesota River at Granite Falls HWY 212 affecting Chippewa,
Renville and Yellow Medicine Counties.

Minnesota River at Morton affecting Renville and Redwood Counties.

Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Lac qui Parle, Chippewa
and Yellow Medicine Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Crow River at Rockford.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Low lying areas and some roads along the
river begin to experience flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 700 PM CDT Thursday, the stage was 10.6 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 700 PM CDT Thursday was 10.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.6
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage early Tuesday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
10.6 feet on 10/12/2019.
