This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
A few strong to marginally severe storms are possible this morning.
The main risks will be nickel to quarter size hail and 50 to 60 mph
wind gusts. A tornado cannot be ruled out, especially across extreme
south central Kansas.
A second round of storms are possible this afternoon, primarily east
of a line from Emporia to Eureka to Sedan. The strongest storms will
be capable of hail up to baseball size. A tornado or two cannot be
ruled out as well.
Very high fire danger is expected across central Kansas.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday
Severe storms are possible on Saturday. There is also the potential
for localized flooding where training thunderstorms occur.
Thunderstorm chances may linger across far southeast Kansas on
Sunday. Additional storm chances are possible Tuesday and
Wednesday.
