This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight


Breezy conditions today will result in an elevated hazard for
boaters on area lakes. As a result, a Lake Wind Advisory has been
issued for the entire region from 9 AM through 6 PM.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening
ahead of and with a weak cold front that will push southeast across
the area. Isolated strong to severe storms with mainly high winds
will be possible. The best chance areas will be southern Illinois,
southwest Indiana and western Kentucky.

River levels will slowly fall on the flooded Mississippi River
and its tributaries. Please refer to river flood statements for
details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday


A chance of thunderstorms is forecast Tuesday through Wednesday.
The best chance will be Tuesday night when a few severe storms
with damaging winds will be possible. In addition, a stray strong
to severe storm cannot be ruled out Wednesday afternoon.
Otherwise, locally heavy rainfall and lightning will be the main
concerns.

Flooding of the Mississippi River and its tributaries will slowly
decrease.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be requested this afternoon and evening
mainly over the Evansville Tri State and the Pennyrile region of
west Kentucky.

...LAKE WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM

CDT THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Lake Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 9 AM this morning to 6 PM CDT
this evening.

* TIMING...throughout the day.

* WINDS...Southwest winds will be sustained at 15 to 20 mph with
gusts 25 to 35 mph.

* IMPACTS...rough waters will make small boats vulnerable to
capsizing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
