...Heightened Flood Risk Again Through This Weekend...

Several more chances for rain, possibly heavy at times, are
expected through the upcoming weekend and into early next week.
The Weather Prediction Center (WPC) is forecasting between 2 and 4
inches of rainfall for much of our area through next Tuesday.
This amount of rainfall could lead to flooding, especially if
heavier amounts fall where the ground is already saturated and
stream flow is high.

The first chance for heavy rainfall will be late today and
especially tonight. 1 to 3 inches of rain could fall before mid
day on Thursday. If this rain falls over parts of east central
Indiana or northwest Ohio where a flood watch is in effect, local
flooding will be likely.

More chances for heavy rainfall are possible this weekend into
early next week. However, timing and location for this potential
rainfall remains uncertain at this time.

Flooding of city streets, rural roads, lowland areas, streams and
rivers will be possible where heavy rain falls. Stay tuned to
local weather broadcasts or media sources for additional
information and updates on this potential flooding situation.
