This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of eastern and
central Missouri as well as west central and southwest Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are expected through early
this evening. All severe weather hazards are possible including
large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes.

Training thunderstorms will be capable of producing locally heavy
rainfall and flash flooding. A Flood Watch has been issued for
portions of southeastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.


There is a chance of thunderstorms for parts of the area from late
Sunday through Tuesday.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT

FOR NORTHWESTERN MONROE AND NORTHERN ST. CLAIR COUNTIES...

At 513 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Millstadt,
moving northeast at 35 mph. Another severe thunderstorm was located
north of Valmeyer moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Belleville, O`Fallon, East St. Louis, Collinsville, Fairview Heights,
Cahokia, Swansea, Shiloh, Waterloo, Columbia, Mascoutah, Pevely,
Centreville, Lebanon, Freeburg, Caseyville, Washington Park, Dupo,
Millstadt, and New Baden.

This includes Interstate 64 in Illinois between exits 9 and 27.

FOR WEST CENTRAL MONROE AND CENTRAL JEFFERSON COUNTIES...

At 511 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Horine, moving
northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported quarter size hail in Hillsboro.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Festus, De Soto, Pevely, Crystal City, Herculaneum, Hillsboro,
Barnhart, Olympian Village, Horine, Imperial, Kimmswick, Hematite,

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Illinois, including the following
county, Monroe.

* WHEN...Until 545 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 241 PM CDT, the public reported heavy rain in the advisory
area due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small
stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Waterloo, Red Bud, Oakville, Valmeyer, New Design, Fountain,
Hecker, Maeystown, Burksville, Wartburg, Madonnaville, Foster
Pond, Monroe City, Chalfin Bridge, Ames and Harrisonville.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

Gasconade MO, Iron MO, Jefferson MO, Madison MO, Moniteau MO,
Osage MO, Reynolds MO, Saint Francois MO, Saint Louis City MO,
Saint Louis MO, Sainte Genevieve MO and Washington MO.

* WHEN...From 10 AM CDT this morning through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Training thunderstorms capable of locally heavy rainfall
could produce areas of 2 to 5 inches of total rainfall.
