...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CDT THIS EVENING...


* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following
counties, southern Cook and southeast DuPage.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Underpasses may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 457 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms.
- Thunderstorms producing torrential rainfall will affect the
advisory area. These thunderstorms are capable of producing
up to an inch of rain in less than 30 minutes. This heavy
rainfall will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chicago, Hammond, Bolingbrook, Orland Park, Oak Lawn, Downers
Grove, Calumet City, Woodridge, Chicago Lawn, Roseland,
Englewood, South Shore, Burbank, Oak Forest, Harvey, Homer
Glen, Blue Island, Dolton, Alsip and Palos Hills.

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
