Hazardous Weather Outlook for Randolph, Iowa

Hazardous Weather Outlook
National Weather Service Omaha/Valley NE
1130 AM CDT Tue Jun 2 2020

1130 AM CDT Tue Jun 2 2020

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest Iowa,
west central Iowa, east central Nebraska, northeast Nebraska, and
southeast Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Thunderstorms are expected to develop in central and northeast
Nebraska on Tuesday evening between 6 PM and 10 PM, possibly
moving into southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa overnight. These
storms may produce damaging winds especially during the evening
hours in northeast Nebraska, with isolated hail and heavy rain
possible as well.

Aside from the severe storm potential, the combination of heat and
humidity will result in heat indices approaching 100 degrees
Tuesday afternoon, especially in areas along the Nebraska South
Dakota border.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Another round of strong thunderstorms is possible Wednesday
afternoon. Current indications are that locations in southeast
Nebraska will have the best chance for a few severe storms with
damaging winds being the primary hazard.

The weather pattern becomes a bit more unpredictable by late week
into the weekend. However, it does appear that ingredients will
remain in place to support a periodic risk of severe storms.

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
