This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, central South
Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central South Dakota and
southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Flooding resulting from heavy rainfall last week will continue to be
an ongoing concern. Moderate to major river flooding is expected to
continue in the James, Vermillion and Big Sioux Rivers for several

Scattered to numerous storms are expected tonight into early
Wednesday, especially in areas east of Interstate 29. The risk of
severe weather is low, however, an isolated storm may become strong
enough to produce large hail or wind gusts in excess of 50 mph.
Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Additional storms are possible Wednesday night, and again Friday
into early Saturday. These storms may produce locally heavy rainfall,
which could exacerbate ongoing flooding. Isolated storms Friday
afternoon and evening may also become strong to severe, though the
favored area and extent of the severe weather risk is still
