This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

AREA...Portions of Northeast Oklahoma and West Central Arkansas.
ONSET...Early Afternoon.

Warm and humid conditions are forecast to continue today with heat
index values in the 90s to around 101 degrees possible this
afternoon. Locations closer to the higher end of this range are
expected to be over parts of Northeast Oklahoma into the Arkansas
River Valley of West Central Arkansas.

Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

Isolated diurnal thunderstorm chances return Friday through the
weekend with the greater potential mainly in the higher terrain
locations of Southeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas each
afternoon. Slightly greater thunderstorm chances may be possible
next week as a low pressure system is forecast to approach the

Arkansas River at Ozark Lock and Dam affecting Franklin...Johnson
and Logan Counties.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Arkansas River at Ozark Lock and Dam.
* until further notice, or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 3:00 AM Thursday, the stage was 360.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 357.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue falling to near 357 feet by
late Friday night. The river is then expected to fluctuate near 357
feet until further notice.
* Impact...At 360.0 feet, flooding spreads over more than 4,000 acres
in Franklin and Logan Counties. Numerous gas fields are flooded.
Some agricultural lands in Johnson County also are flooded.
