This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Primarily along and south of Interstate 40.
ONSET...After 4 PM.

HEAVY RAIN.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Northwest Arkansas into Southeast Oklahoma.
ONSET...Ongoing.

DISCUSSION...
Scattered thunderstorms are ongoing early this morning producing
locally heavy rains from northwest Arkansas into southeast Oklahoma.
These storms are expected to gradually weaken later this morning.
The overnight thunderstorm complex has pushed a surface boundary
south of the Red River, and the majority of stronger storms today
will be focused south of the area. A slow moving weak upper low
will also be moving over the region today and will support
renewed thunderstorm development this afternoon and overnight.
These storms may pose a limited risk of severe weather, and
also the locally heavy rainfall. Recent rainfall will allow
flooding to develop quickly in some locations and updated
rainfall forecasts should be closely followed.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY...Severe Thunderstorm and Heavy Rain Potential.
THURSDAY through SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
The weather pattern will remain active through the upcoming
week with daily thunderstorm chances. An increase in severe
weather and heavy rainfall potential does appear likely for
the Tuesday into Wednesday time frame. Repeated rounds of
rainfall will also raise the potential for both flash
flooding and larger river flooding.
