Some scattered showers are expected to develop this afternoon
across southern Kansas into northern Oklahoma. Some weak
instability is forecast, which could lead to a few lightning
strikes with this activity. If this does occur, it would most
likely be west of highway 75 in northeast Oklahoma. Gusty winds to
40 mph are also possible with the stronger activity.

North to northwest winds will gust to near 35 mph this afternoon.
The strong winds are yielding a limited fire weather danger
across northeast Oklahoma. Winds will subside after sunset this
evening.

Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

FRIDAY...High Wind Potential.
SATURDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...

Gusty northwest winds are expected again during the day on Friday. A
frontal boundary and slow moving upper level low pressure system
will bring unsettled weather for much of next week. An organized
severe weather event is not expected however.
