This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


There is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.


Windy and dry conditions Thursday will lead to critical fire weather
concerns across the western South Plains and far southwest Texas
Panhandle where a Fire Weather Watch is in effect.

Severe thunderstorms are possible late Thursday afternoon and
especially Thursday night, mainly along and east of the I-27/US-87
corridor.

Another round of strong to severe thunderstorms are possible on
Saturday across the Rolling Plains and far southeast Texas
Panhandle. Farther west, strong west winds along with elevated to
critical fire weather conditions are possible.

THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING FOR STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE
HUMIDITY FOR THE FAR SOUTHWESTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE AND THE WESTERN
SOUTH PLAINS...

* Timing... Thursday from 3 PM CDT to 9 PM CDT.

* Wind...Southwest at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* Humidity...as low as 7 percent.

* Fuels...Marginal to dry.

* Impacts...Any fires that develop can spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is discouraged.
