This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest
Iowa...west central Iowa...east central Nebraska...northeast
Nebraska and southeast Nebraska.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Scattered thunderstorms will occur over parts of southeast
Nebraska and possibly southwest Iowa this morning. The threat for
severe weather is low, but locally heavy rain could occur, mainly
south of Interstate 80. There will still be a chance for non-
severe thunderstorms later in the day.
There is a marginal risk for severe storms over parts of northeast
Nebraska tonight. If storms occur, they could produce locally
strong winds and possibly some hail.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday
Chances for thunderstorms continue from Sunday through most of
next week. There is a small chance that some of those storms
could be severe, possibly Sunday night and Monday night. More
details on severe weather potential through the week will be
provided in later outlooks.
Hot and humid weather also develops by Monday and Tuesday with
daytime highs in the mid 90s to around 100. Heat index values
could peak in the 100 to 110 range both days, and heat advisories
may eventually be needed for some areas.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not expected to be needed.
